DESCRIPTION: According to etymologists the name Pomerol is an ancient word meaning  fruit with seeds and then orchard in Gallo Roman times where they started to produce wines. These wines were enjoyed by the pilgrims on the march to Santiago de Compostela. Château Le Bon Pasteur was created by Joseph and Hermine Dupuy. The fate of Le Bon Pasteur is closely connected to Michel Rolland and his wife Dany who pioneered the scientifics of wine making , every step of the wine has been considered and adopted, everything has been designed to preserve the rich complexity of the many different plots of Le Bon Pasteur. This is an institution that is widely accepted and unanimously praised by the critics throughout the world. The Château was sold to the Goldin Group in 2013 but has retained every member of staff and has left Michel and Dany to the winemaking, so the guarantee of this Château will continue to produce the finest of wines that this region can offer.
